In-person Breastfeeding Support Sessions

We run five in-person sessions a week. All our in-person sessions are wheelchair accessible.

Please note that during February half-term week there will be no session at Kidlington on Wednesday or The Leys on Thursday. Families that would otherwise come to the session at The Leys are welcome at the East Oxford session on Thursday even if there are no slots available. Or you can book a one-to-one virtual session. Please email us if there are no slots available. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Please book via the Calendly listings below.

The front gate of John Henry Newman Academy. Text: Feeding Your Baby Sessions. Alternating Thursdays 12-2pm. Windale School in The Leys & John Henry Newman School in Littlemore. All Welcome!

Pre-booking is advised for most of our sessions (see our Calendly page below) except at The Leys & Littlemore. Bookings open 10 days before most sessions. If there are no places available during the booking period, Calendly will give the message “No times in” the current month. If you don’t get a space straight away, please try again, as they often become available nearer the time. Remember that you can also ask your midwife or health visitor for breastfeeding help.

After you have booked

Please complete our data collection form before attending the appointment. There will be a link to this in your booking confirmation email. We collect this information in order to comply with requirements of funders and to help us look at equity of access/accessibility for all local families/service users who need our services. Your data will be kept confidential and treated with respect. If you need help filling in the form, one of our team may be able to help you when you arrive.

Please have your baby’s red book with you when you attend your appointment.

You are welcome to bring along your partner or any other person who supports you.

Read more about what to expect.

Please book in slots at our in-person sessions via our Calendly page below

Some sessions have been divided into two slots. You are welcome to arrive at any time during your slot and to chat to other families and our volunteers before/after you have spoken to the facilitator. The earlier you can arrive, the more feeding support you are likely to get.

We aim to see families in the order in which they arrive, but we may need to prioritise if babies are distressed, ready/ not ready to feed etc. Thank you for your understanding about this. If you will need to leave before the end of the session, please let us know on arrival.

Please cancel your booking if you no longer need it or you cannot attend.

If you have any queries, you can contact us by email.

Language & Interpretation

Language Line language interpretation services are available, including for British Sign Language. When booking an in-person slot via Calendly you can mention your needs including interpretation in the section that asks about your breastfeeding issue or problem.

You may find it helpful to use a free transcription app or the dictation function on your phone to listen to your consultation and transcribe your conversation in real time, as well as saving it to look back over later.
