OBS In Person Breastfeeding Support Sessions

As Covid-19 restrictions ease we are delighted to be able to reopen some in-person sessions. Spaces are very limited and pre-booking is essential. If you arrive without booking a place you may be turned away. Bookings open 10 days before each session.

In the first phase of reopening we will be at Donnington Doorstep Family Centre on Fridays, beginning 2 July 2021 and in conjunction with Didcot Baby Monday, which offers a social space and other activities for parents, including refreshments, on Mondays, beginning 5 July 2021.

Please note: we will run as usual all summer, except for the first & last weeks of August. We will be closed from July 31st to August 8th, and from August 21st to 30th, inclusively. This includes our Facebook group. If you need support with feeding your baby during this time, please contact your midwife or health visitor. Please also see our list of Recommended Resources for Parents.

In addition to these closures, there will be no OBS breastfeeding support at the August 9th Didcot Baby Monday session. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

You are welcome to arrive at any time during the session and to chat to other families and our volunteers before/after you have spoken to the facilitator. The earlier you can arrive, the more feeding support you are likely to get.

Due to Covid restrictions, we need to keep the number of people in the room to the minimum. It is fine to bring a partner/supporter and toddler if you need to, but please do not bring people who do not need to come!

We aim to see families in the order in which they arrive, but we may need to prioritise if babies are distressed, ready/ not ready to feed etc. Thank you for your understanding about this. If you will need to leave before the end of the session, please let us know on arrival.

We are not able to provide feeding pillows or toys at the moment - you are welcome to bring your own.

Masks need to be worn at all times unless you have an exemption. Please bring your own.

Please complete our Data Collection Form as soon as possible after booking. This will save time and enable us to support you effectively on the day of your visit. We collect this information in order to comply with requirements of funders and to help us look at equity of access/accessibility for all local families/service users who need our services. Your data will be kept confidential and treated with respect. If you need help filling in the form, one of our team may be able to help you when you arrive, depending on current covid-19 restrictions.

If you are unable to attend after all, PLEASE CANCEL YOUR BOOKING as places at this session are very limited and this may enable another family to attend.
